Time.....

Wow, where has the time gone since I last spent an hour here?
It has been a very busy last few weeks of school term that mixed in with finding my creating space has been crammed packed with busyness....
Firstly my work which has seen me put my orders to one side for a couple of weeks whilst I have been working on a piece for an exhibition next January.
Last year I got too far behind during the summer holidays with my creation that I was determined to finish before they broke up this year.
Did I manage it?
Yes to one of the pieces and the other will quietly come to life alongside the days of the break...

The waves of the sea were a calming way to detach myself from the school rush of the day and as
each wave rolled into the next I found myself dreaming of the days to come and the urge to have my
toes in the water....

It kept me company as I sat through sports day, music lessons, Irish dancing lessons and the general waiting around that a mothers taxi has to do....

I can't show you the completed piece until I know if it's been accepted into the exhibition, so until October and the other piece is finished alongside it this will have to be all you see....I really want to show it but will be patient!

We have had some really wet days since I was last here with you but thankfully Mother Nature has turned off the tap and we are harvesting the hay at last, always a joy and chore as we await the weather slot we need and hope it holds until the golden nuggets are stacked and safely away, working
with the land and nature has its trials but oh it's joys far out way them...

Along with the heat for the hay comes the heat of living as we do, the caravan gets hot especially at the end of the day and my sleeping partner has the right idea to ignore the work to be done and find the cool spot to do a little cat yoga and not help with the winding of wool...

Teachers presents were created....felted hearts this year alongside a jar of honey from the hives, all. The colours chosen by the girls to give to appropriate teachers, I love the way they all look together...

I have managed to find a little time for myself all be it just painting my toes, but oh that small task brings so much pleasure to me, but always easier to do home alone when I can manage to just paint my own and not another five sets of fingers and toes!

Our clutch of eggs that became our first hatching have done fantastically and this mother hen has been amazing....she hatched out seven little ones and seven she still has...we don't lock our hens up they completely free range and at night roost in the trees or on roofs and fences just as they naturally would, their protection from the foxes that roam is the dog who patrol his patch and keeps them all safe every night...

Today new yarn arrived....this is always an exciting thing and today is no exception, these gorgeous balls are set to become an angel over the next week, the yellows is 100% silk so she is set to be a luxurious lady in a silk dress, hopefully it will be a bit cooler tomorrow to get her cast onto my needles.

Thank you for catching up with me, I am off to sit in the cool of the evening and thank my blessings of the day, I shall be back in the next couple of days to chat about meditation and me...xxxxx
